Derrick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Johnson State College.  Derrick is a Certified Neurolinguistic Programming Trainer (NFNLP), Certified Hypnosis Trainer (NGH), and a Certified Master Executive Coach (CCF).

At thirty-eight years of age, Derrick retired from a distinguished career as a Vice President & Senior Investment Advisor with a major investment firm (where he managed approximately $60,000,000.00 on behalf of clients around the world) to focus one hundred percent of his time on his inspirational message of purpose, passion, and how to Get the Most Out of Life!

Prior to his working in the investment business Derrick started and ran several companies, including the Teddy Bear Gram® Corporation, which earned him international recognition as a successful Entrepreneur. Derrick is listed in the international WHO’S WHO of Entrepreneurs. Derrick’s adventures have been featured by Entrepreneur Magazine, Ottawa Life Magazine, The Sun Newspapers, 680 AM News, Metro Magazine, CHUM FM, Much Music, Regional Contact, Rogers Television, CHRO, CBC and CTV.

When Derrick isn't giving keynotes and workshops across North America he splits his time equally working with the company's Healthy Wealthy and Wise® corporate clients and Certified Coaches Federation™ coaches. Derrick lives at the Healthy Wealthy and Wise® Ranch (nestled in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario) with his wife Marsha, and their dogs and horses.
